Recent News Press Release Napa, CA – May 6th The Volunteer Center of Napa Valley’s Board President, Marcia Hull, announced that the Center will merge on July 1, 2011 with Community Action Napa Valley. The Center will become one of the seven programs under the leadership of CANV’s Executive Director, Drene Johnson. Katie Meehan-Rubin of the Center states that she is "Thrilled at the merger, we look forward to being part of a larger organization. The mission of the Center fits so well with that of CANV. The Center has worked closely with the staff of CANV for years and we are excited to be part of this dedicated group of individuals that provide such vital services to our community." The Volunteer Center will retain its name and continue to focus on connecting volunteers with nonprofits, providing volunteers who serve low-income seniors and opening/managing the county’s Emergency Volunteer Center(s) in the event of a disaster.
